As the oldest continuously operating two-year public college in the state of Washington (founded in 1925), Centralia College has a rich heritage of transfer, Career and Technical and basic skills programs serving the community. We also offer bachelor’s degree programs. A community college in the truest sense, we are in the center of Centralia on a tree-lined, 30+ acre campus. The college serves Lewis and south Thurston counties with a population over 75,000.

Centralia College offers more than 50 associate degree and certificate options and four bachelor of applied science degrees in a variety of fields, providing a rich complement of transfer, career and technical education, basic skills, and continuing education programs. Centralia College has an open admission policy. Credential-seeking students must apply for program admission and register in the degree or certificate program of their choice.

Accreditation

Centralia College’s accreditation status is Accreditation Reaffirmed. The Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities’ (NWCCU) most recent action on the institution’s accreditation status in August 2025 was to reaffirm accreditation. NWCCU is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
